The Calming Rainbow Breathing Wall
Sensory Play Area to engage the senses

At Cambridge Juniors, we believe that the environment is not just a backdrop but a teacher in itself. We understand that when the setting is right, the possibilities are endless, because we know that a child’s environment isn’t just where they learn—It’s how they learn. As Loris Malaguzzi rightly said: “The environment should act as an aquarium which reflects the ideas, ethics, attitudes, and culture of the people who live in it.”
From open learning zones that invite exploration, to calming nooks that encourage reflection, each space has been created with the developmental needs of pre-primary children at its heart.
Cambridge Juniors
As Albert Einstein once said, “Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think.”
Our dynamic and resource rich spacious classrooms balance guided learning with independent discovery, structured lessons with hands-on experiences by incorporating: Guided & Independent Learning Zones. Every element of our classroom environment is thoughtfully designed to support the developmental needs of young children. The furniture is not only safe and sturdy but also child-friendly, encouraging independence, collaboration, and active participation.
Keeping pace with the digital era, each classroom is thoughtfully equipped with interactive panels that aid in early learning and exploration through age-appropriate digital content.
The environment is further enriched with a wide range of educational materials, including Montessori resources, to provide hands-on, experiential learning.
An invitation for children to explore, reflect, discover, and grow through self-initiated learning experiences that nurture the mind, body, and spirit.
In alignment with our vision of nurturing self-learners, our campus is thoughtfully designed with free exploratory zones that extend learning beyond the classroom. These interactive spaces encourage curiosity, creativity, and collaboration, supporting holistic development in a natural and playful environment.
From the calming Rainbow Breathing Wall, where children connect with their emotions and practice mindful breathing, to the dynamic STEM Quadrangle featuring water wheels, gears, and simple machines that spark scientific thinking — each zone is a learning adventure.
Our Sensory Play Area comes alive with wind pipes, whispering tubes, and drums, inviting children to explore the world of sound and movement. These are seamlessly integrated with stepping wooden circles, hanging bridge and many more, promoting balance, coordination, and gross motor skills.
is not just a space—it’s an experience. It empowers children to ask questions, test ideas, and develop a love for discovery that lays the foundation for future learning and innovation. Its well equipped with age-appropriate tools such as magnifying glasses, measuring scales, ramps, magnetic kits, Geoboards, and Light table that allow children to engage safely and meaningfully with STEM
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) plays a vital role in preparing young minds for the challenges of the future. From understanding the digital world around us to innovating sustainable solutions for real-life problems, STEM builds the foundation for a skilled, future-ready generation. By introducing STEM early children develop important science process skills like observing, predicting, experimenting, and drawing conclusions—all through play. In our STEM program, children may predict which objects float or sink (science), build tall towers using different shapes thus understanding balance (engineering), measure temperatures of objects (math), or explore how shadows change with light (technology). These hands-on activities teach them to ask questions, test ideas, and find answers on their own.By encouraging children to ask “why” and “how,” STEM nurtures a love for discovery and innovation—skills they’ll carry for life.
We believe that every child has a hundred ways to express themselves, a hundred ways to think, to create, to express. From exploring Picasso’s Cubist style to crafting self-portraits, our young artists learn that art is more than just coloring inside the lines—it is a language of emotion, identity, and imagination.
A vibrant open-air space that nurtures creativity, confidence, and community spirit among our young learners. With a semi-circular seating arrangement and a cozy stage area, children can both perform and be part of an audience—fostering social-emotional skills, language development, and self-expression.
@ CJ learning blossoms under open skies too. In a world where such open, green spaces are becoming increasingly rare, we are proud to offer our children a little pocket of nature where they can learn, grow, and flourish. We see the garden as a living classroom—where children learn about life cycles, seasons, and sustainability through hands-on experiences. It’s also a space that nurtures social interaction, physical development, and emotional well-being.
🌿 Did You Know?
Our garden isn’t just for play!
During a language class on adjectives, children exploring
the garden and describing what they see
— green leaves, tiny ants, soft petals —
There must be provision for the child to have contact with nature; to understand and appreciate the order, the harmony and the beauty in nature.”
